College Coach

Microsoft offers free access to Bright Horizons College Coach, a program designed to help you, and your family navigate the complexities of college planning and admissions. Connect with experts who can guide you through important educational challenges to help ensure your child’s success in college and beyond.

Bright Horizons College Coach offers a range of services to support you, including:

  • Saving money for your child’s college 
  • Finding and applying to the best colleges for your child 
  • Paying for their college without breaking the bank 
  • Planning your child's high school courses and activities 
  • Helping your child thrive in college and career 
  • Exploring alternatives to a four-year degree

This program is available to all corporate and retail US benefits-eligible employees with a dependent child or children between the ages of 0 – 18+. Interns and visiting researchers are not eligible for this benefit.

To take advantage of this great benefit, go to Bright Horizons College Coach. Add your spouse/domestic partner and student to your account so they can access the program, too.

Online Live Events 

Attend presentations about college admissions and finance strategies, hosted online specifically for Microsoft families by experts. Register at aka.ms/CollegeCoach to get materials and access.

Personalized Guidance

Schedule one-on-one sessions with experts who are all former college admissions and financial aid officers. You can choose how to use their support, whether it's scheduling phone meetings, getting a list of colleges, or sending essays for feedback.

Essay Review and Feedback

Upload essays and resumes for college applications on the Bright Horizons College Coach portal. Experts will provide feedback to improve the content and structure of the essays.

Customized College List 

Starting in January of their junior year, students can submit their preferences about college size, location, setting, and academics. College Coach experts will use that information, plus any transcripts and test scores, to make a customized list of 25-30 schools in three categories: probable, possible, and reach. 

The Learning Center

Access interactive videos, FAQs, and other resources tailored to different stages of your child's education.
