Health screenings and vaccinations

Microsoft knows that the first step in combatting illness is preventive care to keep it happening in the first place. This initiative is designed to help you stay healthy and informed about your health status. We offer convenient options for you to get preventive care such as vaccinations and screenings, ensuring you have the tools you need to take control of your health.

Staying current on vaccines and scheduling regular, appropriate health screenings are great first steps in taking control of your health. Plus, your Microsoft health care plan covers most preventive care options at 100 percent. Specific things you can do to stay healthy include:

  • Get a flu shot. Flu shots are covered by Microsoft health plans as preventive care at 100% when administered by an in-network provider.
  • You can also get a biometric screening with your health care provider. Talk with your provider about doing this through your preventive exam (you’ll want to confirm if there’s a charge).
  • If you're a woman age 40 or older and you haven't had a mammogram in at least 12 months—or if you have a spouse/domestic partner who meets those criteria—consider getting a free screening while they're available on site or schedule a visit with your primary care provider.
  • Visit your primary care provider or see a provider at one of our on-site health centers to discuss and/or obtain appropriate, no-cost preventive care and health screenings.
  • Determine if scheduling a tuberculosis (TB) screening at the Living Well Health Center, or with your primary care provider, is right for you.

The following list can help ensure that you are up to date on your screenings and vaccinations. Keep in mind that these are the general recommendations. You should speak with your healthcare provider about your specific circumstances to determine the right recommended frequency for you.
