Childcare assistance program

Finding quality childcare can be a challenge. Microsoft employees enjoy access to the Family Concierge service for personalized, expert support in crafting your care plan, as well as a broad array of subsidies and discounts to help defray the costs of childcare. Whether you’re looking for a nanny, a daycare center, or an emergency sitter, we have options to help.

All US benefits-eligible employees can participate in the childcare assistance program.

Interns and visiting researchers are not eligible for a childcare subsidy but are eligible for the childcare discounts provided via the PRIME Program.

Through this program, Microsoft offers two ways to help you pay for child care:

  1. Microsoft subsidy with several national child care providers including:
    • Bright Horizons

    • KinderCare

    • Learning Care Group Education Family of Brands including: La Petite Academy, Tutor Time Child Care/Learning Centers, Childtime Learning Centers, and Montessori Unlimited
  2.  PRIME Program discount

In some locations, you can combine the PRIME discount and the subsidy for greater savings.

Note: National child care providers will not combine the Microsoft childcare subsidy with any other program or discount they offer (for example, multiple child/sibling discounts).

Childcare subsidy details

To participate in the childcare subsidy, first choose a participating provider. Next, complete and submit a childcare registration form and any other required documentation provided by the facility. You will need to tell the provider that you are a Microsoft employee using the subsidy and provide your employee ID. The subsidy will take effect the week after your child is enrolled.
