In January 2026, your dental coverage will transition to Delta Dental, replacing Premera.
Delta Dental offers access to the largest nationwide network of dentists, comprehensive customer support, and innovative tools designed to simplify dental care management.
Thanks to Delta Dental's extensive network, the vast majority of providers will remain in-network, so you can expect minimal disruption. While you have the flexibility to visit any dentist, choosing an in-network provider will help you maximize your dental benefits and minimize your out-of-pocket expenses. You'll also be able to use Delta Dental's MySmile online tool to find dentists, cost estimates, claims, and learn more about your benefits.
The design of the Dental Plus Plan—including covered services and deductibles—is not changing. Here's an overview of the plan:
Plan Feature | Coverage |
Preventive Care | 100% |
Annual Deductible | $25 individual/$75 family |
Coinsurance | 85% for Basic Care/50% deductible for Major Care |
Orthodontia* | 50%; One time $50 deductible per individual $2,500 lifetime maximum benefit per individual* |
Annual Maximum Benefit | $2,500 per person (preventive services do not count towards their maximum) |
*Orthodontia benefits accrued under Premera will carry over to Delta Dental. The lifetime maximum won't reset as part of the transition.

If you are currently enrolled in the Delta Dental Plan and do not waive coverage for 2026 Open Enrollment, you will be automatically enrolled in the Dental Plus Plan with Delta Dental. If you currently waive dental coverage, your waiver will remain in effect unless you make an affirmative election to enroll for 2026 during Open Enrollment.
