Lactation/Mother’s Rooms

Here at Microsoft, we are committed to providing a supportive and welcoming environment for all our employees. We also know that the transition back to work after giving birth can be a difficult one, not just emotionally, but physically as well. Our private rooms are designed to help you feed your baby or pump comfortably while on campus.

Lactation/Mother’s Rooms are available to you, external staff, or visitors of Microsoft employees who need to breast/chest feed a child or pump. Visitors can ask reception for the room passcode when they check in for their visit.

Our Lactation/Mother’s Rooms are equipped with:

  • Doors locked with universal passcodes, giving you access to all locations.

  • Refrigerators to store labeled breast milk for the day.

  • A desk, chair, and clock radio.

  • Areas that can accommodate up to two people feeding a child in private at one time.

To see a list of Lactation/Mother’s Rooms at your location and obtain the room passcode, contact your building receptionist. If a Lactation/Mother's Room isn’t available and you need to express milk, the receptionist can arrange for an alternate place at your location.
